Program Details

Audience: All Levels

Create stunning works of art a wonderful "nuno" light weight textile using merino roving. Taught by Stephanie Stokes.

Nuno felting is a wet felting process that requires minimal equipment but uses feet and/or arms to roll it, which causes the wool roving to shrink into a natural fiber backing.  Supplies are provided, but please bring along a pool noodle, old towel, small plastic bucket and old stockings, if you have them.  Participants may also like to try bringing some small pieces of breathable fabrics and wool yarn.  Participants will produce an 18"  piece before shrinking which can be used for a wall hanging, pillow, or part of a garment.
